An Incredible Weekend:

Wow! It has been quite some time since I last uploaded an entry on here. It’s not because I forgot, but mostly because life has been so busy. My summer semester of college just ended, and we’re coming off an incredible event at work. So, I figured now is the perfect time to reflect and write. Let’s get into it.
Life has been good, just doing the same things all the time, which I actually enjoy. I’m a fan of consistency. Work, school, church, and spending time with people I love pretty much sum up my days. Life has been good, and God has been faithful. Work has been nothing short of incredible. I truly thank God for the blessing of my job. It’s something I do not take for granted.
This past weekend was powerful. We celebrated 50 years of ministry for Phil and Debbie Waldrep. Fifty years! I’m in awe of their consistency and obedience to God’s leading. Phil and Debbie, along with the rest of our team, have become some of the greatest blessings in my life.
Although the weekend was busy, it was incredibly fulfilling. We kicked things off with a dinner on Saturday night, where many wonderful people shared testimonies of God's faithfulness throughout the Waldreps' ministry. We also had the honor of welcoming Mike Pence, the 48th Vice President of the United States, who shared as well. The dinner was amazing. Vice President Pence was incredibly kind and engaging. It was a privilege to have a conversation with him. He is a very personable man and left a lasting impression on me.
The following evening was just as special. We welcomed Michael W. Smith to Decatur, Alabama, where he led us in a time of worship. As someone who has been a fan of his music, it was such a special experience. The setting was simple and perfect, no production, no fancy lights, just Michael and a grand piano. It was a very intimate time of worship. Michael is another person who, when you talk to him, you can tell he is genuine. I had met him a few months prior at one of our conferences in Myrtle Beach, so it was great to see him again and briefly catch up.
This weekend was truly incredible. Life is going very well. God is so faithful.
